VMI Epe Holland is proud to introduce its latest invention for the automatic production of Textile Body Ply for car tires. This system automates an important process which so far always had to be performed manually. In terms of productivity as well as quality VMI sets new standards with this new Textile Ply Cutting and Splicing system (TPCS).
Robust design & extreme accuracy
The TPCS produces endless body ply material for all common car tire sizes, ready for use in Tire Building machines. The VMI machine design is robust, and its mechanisms are simple and uncomplicated. Moreover it is reliable and highly efficient which enables both material parts to be positioned extremely accurately. Setting the TPCS for a specific body ply width is easy and fast. It guarantees reliability and precision during many years of use.Material handling
The requirements on the calandered material are typical. It can be rayon or textile reinforced ply, at a maximum width of up to 1524 mm (60"). The ply material is guided very precisely to the cutting machine where it is automatically and precisely cut at a set angle of 90° +/- 5° to the set layer width. The cutting width can be selected between 300 and 1000 mm. At the splicing station the cut material is positioned and spliced. The overlap can be set accurately at values between 1 and 3 mm.Options
Optionally the system is equipped with host computer interface and touch screen for storage of production data and display of error messages. Thanks to its modular design, the TPCS can be expanded as required.
